I had a very disheartening and disconcerting experience with David Taylor Chrysler's service department. I am a reasonable person and attempted to resolve this with them before posting this review, however our interactions discussing that left me no choice but to reflect on my experience publicly.nnLong story short -- I live in Nashville. My fiance and I found a car in Mayfield from a sweet older couple. I knew they were solid people and had great service history, however I still wanted to get a third-party to give me a detailed inspection before fully committing to purchasing the car.nnThe sellers and I chose David Taylor Chrysler. I trusted that, being a reputable dealership, their service department would be able to get the job done. I paid just shy of $80 for a full inspection of the car. The inspection was informative and they came back with a few things that I should take into consideration which left me very satisfied that I wouldn't have any significant immediate repairs or purchases net of buying the car at least for a little while.nnAs you can see from the attached photo, the inspection reported that all four tires were a 7/32nds -- a very good tread depth indicating tires with a good bit of life left.nnI purchased the car at asking price and drove back to Nashville.nnThe next morning, I walked out to my car to discover a nail had punctured my front left tire. This was of course no fault of the seller nor David Taylor Chrysler, and I took my new car to a local tire shop.nnThey informed me that not only was the puncture not repairable, but that ALL 4 tires were at nearly critical tread depth, and they showed me and taught me how to use a tool to measure this and I with my own hands measured that the tires were in reality at about a 3/32nds tread depth -- indicating a nearly failing tire. I was all but forced to replace all four tires a literal day after getting my inspection from David Taylor Chrysler.nnIf you study their inspection report, you can even see the half-hearted slashes in the 7/32nds bubbles. At the end of the day, what happened here was a simple mistake and their technician clearly failed to thoroughly measure my tires' tread depth.nnUpon calling David Taylor Chrysler of Mayfield requesting a refund or some compensation for the fact that this error occurred, they asked me to send them photos of the tires with the rims and a tread depth measuring tool. I did the best I could given the fact that by this point the Nashville shop was already halfway into the replacement (I had to drive to FL to be with my family for Thanksgiving that day and was already hours behind schedule!). You can see one of the tires pictured with my Volvo rim still attached.nnThe dealership now is saying that the pictures aren't sufficient to trust my word and what I saw with my own eyes and hands with a tread depth tool. Instead, they need me to bring the tires back... I bought a convertible and live in Nashville. I have no way to drive 4 tires 2.5 hours back to Mayfield, KY. I have service shops I trust here in Nashville. The only reason I used David Taylor Chrysler at all was because I needed a local shop that I could trust and put faith in to help educate me in making this purchase.nnEvidently, that trust was misplaced in David Taylor Chrysler and they are so confident of their work and unwilling to consider that they in fact made a mistake here that they have refused my considerate albeit persistent requests for a refund to at least in some small part compensate me for the several hundred dollars I had to spend on the new tires.nnI will be happy to update my story if it changes -- that is, if I am provided a refund for their incomplete inspection. Until then, my story is I received a 1-Star inspection and 1-Star customer service and quality guarantee on their work.nnOne last note -- the seller's apologized themselves that I had to get the new tires and informed me that they had made an error and in fact, the tires were 2 years old and had over 30,000 miles. How likely is it that 30k miles had 7/32nd tread?

Had a great buying experience, everyone was very friendly and helpful. If you are looking to buy a new or used vehicle this should be your first stop while shopping.

I would like to thank David Taylor of Mayfield for being a supporter for my workplace Mills Health and Rehab. Anyone who wanted any service work they came picked up our vehicles, did the work, and brought them back to us THAT DAY!! Your kindness will never be forgotten! #millsstrong ud83dudc9a

Ray Ralph is an great salesman to work with on purchasing a vehicle. Was able to do all the negotiations over the phone since I live about 2.5 hours away. The truck was just as he told me. On the day of pick up he made sure he went through the truck controls. Making sure we understood how to navigate through the screens.
