There are other options to select from in Akron now that are much more REASONABLE and dare I say HONEST!! Unnecessary INFLATED billing and accessories that aren't required for a funeral service, but a way for them to maximize depleting your insurance and ensuring you have absolutely nothing left! This is not the same business integrity that may have been in place in the 80s and 90s when the original founders were running it.
Everyone was so sweet and understanding, and made the process of my mother's memorial comfrontable, I highly recommend this funeral home for your love ones.
Speaking on my behalf, I declare that the services rendered to my family were 10+.Such were as they were in the past with the late Owners Mr J. Stewart and Mr Billy Calhoun overseeing the details. Recommend that a closer eye be given to the appearance of interior furnishings. No issues with the attention devoted to my family. Such life event occurrence demands kindness,compassion and understanding and such was given by ALL staff that I encountered.
On June 11, 9-9:15am, I contacted SC Funeral inquiring about pre-needs/pre-planning services and as of this date 6/25, I have yet to receive a call or acknowledgement. I contacted 2 other Funeral Homes and both responded within 30 minutes from my call and provided excellent information. Is it SC arrogance of monopolizing all people of color funerals in the Akron area or poor business practices?
This is a nice funeral home and they did a great job by allowing people to be themselves.
