The Harcourt Motel is the cheapest place to stay in Mount Vernon. But despite the price it is not a bad place to stay. The rooms are clean, and they space the guests apart when not fully booked. And they are good about putting the potential partyers on the end and away from anybody staying for business so as not to disturb their rest. There is far less in and out traffic than there once was. All-in-all it's the only place to stay if you're on a budget.
I am actually very impressed. This is certainly an old motel that has seen better times. BUT our room is clean, new carpet, bed decent with good mattress. Not a speck of dust anywhere! New flat screen TV with cable, WiFi. New microwave and fridge with freezer.nWe brought our own coffee maker.nDon't expect designer soap and shampoo, just bring your own stuff.nWe came to bicycle and the motel is right by the park!nHarcourt Motel is our new favorite place to stay in Mt. Vernon!
The owners and the staff there as of October 2020 have met my every need.. and if you ask them for something like toilet paper or a clean towel because you've been there for a few days and you still have a couple more or longer to go they will give it to you with a smile really good people on this place and work there. Very reasonable price for the updated rooms and absolutely no bugs whatsoever.
Very nice family. Needs redecorating. Good price.
