Delaware marathon

The place is clean, convenient, and the gas prices are almost always better than anyone else. I try to only go to this gas station for gas and beer etc. It is the best gas station in Delaware!!nnEdit: I wanted to know why it didn’t have all 5 star reviews and noticed that it’s under different ownership now. I have been going to this place since it opened and I didn’t have any bad experience. The man that everyone seems to complain about did have some issues. He wasn’t rude to me...but watched me like a hawk (as though I was going to steal something) lol! He isn’t there anymore. People there now are very nice.

With the new owner an employees I give this marathon a 5 star rating. The employees have customer service skills are respectful an most of all are not RUDE nor disrespectful they also do not throw your change back at you. The last owner / worker seemed to not care what customers thought of the store or if anyone would come back let alone spend any money their again.

Really nice clerks. Really quick to check out, very well stocked.

I stopped at this Marathon on Sandusky street in Delaware Ohio at 215 pm this afternoon 7/24/2020. I pulled up to the gas pump inserted my debit card The pump told me to pick up the handle and select my gas which I did. It did not ask me for my pin so I assumed it was run as credit. All of a sudden a gentleman (and I use that term very loosely) came running and screaming and pointing at me saying stop stop. He kept pointing inside the store but could not speak a word of understandable English. There was no signage anywhere that the pump was not working or I needed to pay inside. Not on any pump. In the meantime The gentleman in front of me got the gentleman’s attention and said I paid for my gas you haven’t turned my pump on yet. Apparently this person turned on the wrong pump which coincidentally, the side of me inserting my card. I tried to explain this to him and he continued to scream at me and waved his arms not speaking a single word of understandable English. I handed him my card and finished pumping my gas after telling him I wished to fill up my car. The pump was shut off as soon as he got inside. Went inside to get my card and try to explain it that I needed to fill up and he just continued to scream at me. I tried to explain what I thought had happened and tell him that there was no signage anywhere explaining that I needed to come inside I will NEVER return to this station. This man does not belong anywhere in customer service. And I will make sure that none of my family and friends and their friends and family never set foot in the station again. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. This gentleman is a disgrace to the friendly Delaware community. I feel like the one star rating but I gave was way too high I would give a -10 if possible
