Family run. Outstanding dishes not typically found in the stereotypical Chinese restaurant. Check out their picture menu book. It's the thickness of a phone book. Lots of good things not on the regular menu.nnMy favorites are the sautéd pork chops or uniquely, the smelts. Ask for some hot pepper sauce on the side for the rice.nnReally worth going out of the way for!

The food is good but the service is terrible. So angry and aggressive. Not welcoming

I've been enjoying their food for years! Their dishes are amazing, especially their fish and their beef dishes (I say this because I can't stop ordering their fish and beef dishes lol)--and what's more, they offer such generous portions for all their meals! The staff there are wonderful people, too!nOne thing that really makes this place stand out so much compared to any other Chinese restaurant in the area is how they prepare their dishes so well. Sure there are places in Mayfield and Lyndhurst, but if you're looking for restaurant-quality dishes both when you sit in and eat as well as when you order takeout--go for the sure thing at Hunan East!!
