Bought 4 way,way to skippy on the chili and beans,
We have frequently eaten here before Covid. Sunday we ventured inside. Only customers on one side.I ordered 1/2 size bbq salad. Was brought full size. No more ingredients than small size which I have ordered many times. Charged full price even though I didn't eat it. Asked for water with lemon ( always order it). Told they only had bottle water, brought my husband a fountain Mountain Dew. I asked for ice (the bottle water from Cosco was warm) no trouble bringing me ice but couldn't add water? They charged 2 dollars. Husband's sandwich had to be sent back because he asked for no mayo but got it anyway. The waitress was sweet. Will be a long time before we go back, if ever!
I love the food but they rarely get orders right. Also the fountain drinks always taste like the machine has not been cleaned. When the dining room is open it is always dirty, even when there is no one else there. If you want Gold Star I would advise you to go to a different location.
I was not happy I couldn't get old fashion tap water and was charged $1.50 for .13 bottle of water from krogers.. but the food was good... got the shocker when the bill came
Very disappointed here. We ran in to get great quick food. Great waitress! Food was delivered, we bit into it and we just looked at each other. Uh... This was not Gold Star CHILI! I would explain it as Hormel chili. I questioned the waitress if the chili was changed. She said she had not been there long but confirmed other customers had asked the same question. We were so hungry, we ate it, paid and left. It's a shame as there are not many Gold Star Chili's left around. Making it a shame we can't go back here. Definitely do not want Hormel chili. Very sad and disappointed.
