Dr Darcey Thornton This doctor was not the best choice I could have made. When you choose a physician you are electing a person that you hope you can trust with your health, you put your life in their hands and when that doctor is inattentive to your health needs and has terrible communication skills and shows they obviously do not care if you live or die then you must remove that MD from being over your care !This is exactly what I did I had to call the office she works for and let the supervisor know how terrible my experience had been dealing with Dr Darcey Thornton the worst experience I ever had! I had been calling for 2 weeks complaining about lower leg edema .. the fluid on my leg continued to get worst she would never address my needs she never called back, she totally ignored my health symptoms and my concerns. So after 2 weeks of being ignored I called the office and left a complaint and message to tell Dr Darci her services was no longer needed and I wouldnt be back, and to cancel the phone visit that she recommended to her staff that I schedule although she had not been addressing my complaints prior too this request when calling. Yet I STILL scheduled the appointment because at this point Im starting to feel as if its about money for her and she obviously cared nothing about my health! she wants to make the money for a phone visit although she cant seem to address my issues via phone when calling the office I find it strange she is asking me to schedule a phone visit! ?Truth is I am a nurse and I knew my issues could not be properly assessed via phone! But I did it because she told the staff to have me schedule it which I felt was rude because it was in the mist of her not even addressing my health concerns after leaving several of messages with the staff at the office I am a nurse myself so I'm no stranger to how things should be handled! A doctor should LISTEN when a patient is trying to inform them of their symptoms you DO NOT just ignored them and prescribe what u want too because it could harm them. So I knew I had to drop her I felt she was playing with my health! After basically firing Dr Darci Thornton from being over my care , instead of her apologizing for her own negligence she had the nerve to send me a certified letter saying she can no longer see me due too miscommunication in which she sent it certified to make sure it arrived on the day I was scheduled to do a phone visit with her. Yes the very phone visit I had canceled already! WOW! how dare you? how do you dismiss a patient who has already dismissed you for not properly handling their health issues in a timely manor ??.. It was very unprofessional for her to even contact me after I let her go esp if it wasn't to apologize she said miscommunication YES on her part ONLY! ...To all be very careful who you put over your health ! Sad for a doctor to behave that way during a pandemic!

Lavender is great. The staff is horribly disorganized. Long wait times on the phone and prescription refills take an eternity. I only came to this practice because my doctor moved there and abruptly left. That should have been a warning sign. I'm searching for a new doctor.

Dr. Thornton is hands down the best family doctor. My family moved to Cincy a few years ago and have searched for a good family doctor. Dr. Thornton is amazing! She has been extremely helpful, informative, and has gone the extra mile to ensure my family has what we need. If you are looking for a good family doctor check her out, you won’t be sorry! The office staff at Mercy Health in Forest Park are super friendly and helpful! I am so happy we stumbled across this incredible groups of Doctors, Nurses, & Office Staff!
