Thompson Library

Amazing as always. I haven’t been back since 2011 the year I graduated from OSU! However I had wanted to show my husband for a long time, and today was the perfect opportunity... he loved it! We are always looking for amazing places in and around town which standout and amaze us. We had to walk tonThe top floor to see some amazing views in the library!

Here are the reasons why Thompson Library is accessible to those with disabilities:nnIn the first photo you can see how lit up the library is and you can also see how big and open the inside of the library is, which makes it more accessible for someone who is in a wheelchair to maneuver. Also, even though it is not pictured, Thompson has several elevators that allow people to go from floor to floor, instead of walking up the steps.nnIn the second photo you can see a very open room with several desks that are low and not high top desks, which is another feature that makes it accessible to someone in a wheelchair who cannot get out to sit in a chair. It also has a lot of space in between the different tables and bookshelves which will make it accessible for someone to maneuver their wheelchair.nnIn the third photo you can see how the entrance to the library is wide and accessible. You can also see how there are 2 ways to get to the top where the door is; a ramp and stairs. This makes it accessible to someone who is unable to walk up stairs.

This is an absolutely beautiful library on OSU's campus. I visited here during the summer, so there wasn't much activity going on. I simply was fascinated with the building and wanted to see it in person, while I was waiting for my cousin, who attended here to finish with an activity.nThis is a great place to sit down and read, work, etc and has some really beautiful views throughout the library and even great views looking out onto some of the campus.nIf you're like me and just visiting the campus I certainly recommend visiting this library. It's a beautiful sight to see!

The first place I loved on campus! Reading room in 2nd floor is amazing and 11th floor is so memorable! Nice place to study, do homework and group projects!!

Thompson library is a great place to study! It is also wheelchair accessible! On the east side there is a wheelchair ramp, and on the west side (ground floor), there is an elevator. The elevators have access to all the floors. The tables are also low and accessible. I would also say that there is plenty of space for someone in a wheelchair to get around!
