I contacted Star Jewelers about making a custom emerald ring that I planned on wearing daily. I provided a reference photo for what I was hoping to achieve, and we spoke at length about the pros and cons of using an emerald in a ring. We determined that an emerald wouldn't be a good fit (due to it's fragility), but that there were several green gemstones we could consider! Rachel sourced several alternatives and provided options for the color and size. A few weeks after we selected the tourmaline stone and the gold setting, I had the final product! So happy to have worked with Rachel and the team on my purchase.

Every time I have been in this store, I have been impressed by everyone's knowledge and care. If you are thinking of doing something funky with a custom design or an update to an older piece, they can tell you why it's a great idea or (gently) why it won't work, and what a better idea might be. They are happy to show their pieces in any price range and work with you in a low-pressure setting to discuss what is feasible for you and your budget.nI don't live in Columbus anymore, but my boyfriend and I have decided that, when that day comes, my ring needs to come from Star!!
