I LOVE this Doctor's office. The staff are super friendly and my physician is caring and a good listener. The waiting room is clean and I never feel rushed out of my appointment. I also love the convience of the in office lab.

I was in the market for a new general doctor that accepted my new insurance. Most Doctors were booking out several months in advance, Dr. Ashger had availability within just a few weeks. Now I know why. The front staff was miserable. As I stood in line waiting to check in, one the the front desk staff was scrolling through pictures on google and laughing it up with another staff member. Don't get me wrong, a little lightheartedness and friendship in the workplace is great, but their conversations maybe shouldn't have been so noisy and public. I have no doubt Dr. Ashger may be a good Doctor, but his bed side manner is absolutely awful. He rushed the appointment, and when he was saying his goodbye, I finally asked if I could discuss some concerns with him. I shouldn't have to feel bad for taking up a little of the Doctor's time that I'm paying for. I got to discuss one concern, for which he referred me to a specialist. He went out of the room to get the referral information, and when he came back, he stood in the doorway and handed it to me and it was clear the appointment was over even though I had more to talk about. The lady that took me back to the room asked me all sorts of questions, one being about a goal questionnaire they have you fill out. I told her that I'd like to lose some weight, so we set a goal for 6 months. I figured the doctor would discuss more on how to help achieve that goal, but no, nothing. My blood pressure was incredibly low, which is unusual for me, the Doctor didn't mention anything about it. I know, I should have spoke up and asked about these things. But, at the moment, I was just a little taken back by how much he seemed to not care. I don't think I'll be returning. I'll be making yet another appointment and waiting the few months to get in elsewhere.

I refuse to ever see Dr. Asgher again. He does listen to you, but replies with rude remarks. He has a very cold and dry bedside manor, no compassion, even his staff doesn't like to work with him. The nurse of that office for many many years, turned to filing so she wouldn't have to work with him. He is very intelligent but lacks common sense. He has very few patients and I believe it is due to his attitude.

Ive seen Dr. Shanti since i was really young and still do along with my 6 month old. I love Dr Shanti hate the new office. The old office was so homey. This office is high tech and makes me uncomfortable. I also dont like the new staff, save a few. I dont know why they left the old office in the first place. I guess they had to get with the future.

Love Dr Shanti but the office staff not so much. On Friday I turned in my blood pressure medication to the Meijer Pharmacy on Monday I called and they said it was blocked and I had to call my Doctor. Tuesday I call after work and state my problem I was out of meds and my blood pressure was rising fast. No one from the Doctors office called so on Wednesday I called them and was told that they would not renew my meds without setting an appointment. I am not sick (other than the High Blood Pressure) and told them I was not going to come in so they can charge me for a visit that I did not need. Thursday morning I check my pressure 175/110 very high so I go to the Doctors office and was told that if I did not like the service I could leave. My review LEAVE the Doctors are fine but the stall very disappointing. My only hope is that the extortion of holding meds to force customers to pay for a visit and the violation of the Hippocratic oath if the Doctor is aware of what was happening I suggest you go somewhere else.
