The Plains Public Library

Very nice and wonderful people. If I could go back just to visit, I would be more than happy to. Occasionally, it gets to be loud but that is usually taken care of. A lot of the books they sell are 30 cents and they have an entire computer section dedicated to teens and another to adults.

Stopped by on our way to take our son to college for directions. Very helpful staff, they provided us with a free map of Athens County and got my son signed up for a library card on the spot. Probably one of the cleanest places I've ever been in. What a nice library.

I really enjoy this Library, truly wish it would have the same hours as Athens location. ONLY FAULTs I see is the amount of noise from customers and staff. I was always instructed to keep at a whisper if I needed to ask questions. Otherwise to be silent and do my work on the computer, read, etc. And mind my own business. Last issue, staff talking with each other while patrons are in line waiting. & waitimg.

One of the bright spots of The Plains community. Helpful people and wonderful resources. They even lend bicycles!

Little but if it's in (or on, as said by original residents) it deserves at least 5 stars.
