The Sunshine Gallery

The Sunshine Gallery is an aptly-named little treasure trove of delightful art pieces to wear, share and smile about! ! Last weekend I went to the Open House at Bell-Ans Center of Creative Arts in Orangeburg. I didn’t think I would see anyone I knew, but lo and behold! --the first gallery I came to was the one by artist Colleen Vanderhoef, a dear friend and something of a ray of sunshine herself! I know Colleen from my work with the Nanuet Chamber of Commerce’s annual showcase of student art; she was one of the judges for the art contest last year, but has also been an enthusiastic and loyal supporter from its incipiency. It was wonderful to see her and her new space! Her work has a refreshing simplicity and radiance about it; her personality shines through her art and you get an uplifting feeling just being in the space!
