Olsen Roofing

We had a fabulous experience with Olsen Roofing! After wind caused damage to our roof, we had Olsen come and take a look. They supported us through the process of working with our insurance and then did a fantastic job on the actual replacement of our roof. I could list a string of adjectives that would absolutely apply (professional, kind, trustworthy, etc. etc.) but I will sum it all up by saying that our experience with Olsen Roofing is what I want every type of business transaction to be like! Olsen roofing is a top quality company. They are easy to deal with. They give you a bid within one or two days. Their prices are the best!!!! I got the shingles that I wanted. I got the color that I wanted. They installed roof vents for me at a very low cost. My air conditioning unit isn’t working as hard to cool the house now. The roof looks great!

After having the wind blow shingles off my roof this past May 2020, I began the contractor search. Getting a bid from multiple people was easy enough, but I soon learned that there are details I initially didn't know to ask. The folks at Olsen were very responsive and patient as I got my questions answered. (To be fair, all the contractors were very helpful.) In the process I discovered that not all shingles are equal and of all the lowest bids, the brand of shingle that was included in the Olsen bid was one of the top-rated brands. Other low bids were based on brands that in my search were not well rated and while most other contractors all offered to install any shingle I wanted, the fact that the Olsen go-to brand was better rated suggests they were not just interested in landing the contract, but also focused on initial quality. I ended up upgrading to a higher-grade shingle line from the same brand offered by Olsen and still was able to fit within the insurance estimate. I couldn't be happier. In the process, I learned that I should have asked for more detail as well in the bids as possible including: shingle brand/product line, details on what's included in the tear off, ice/water shield and underlayment brand/product, options for vent pipe flashings (metal, plastic, color matched, etc.), and specifics on any roof vent installation/replacement. There are many options out there of varying material types, durability and warranty and it makes it easier to compare bids with these types of specifics. Overall, I am very happy with the end result.
