Port Washington Public Library

Wonderful library. Besides having a nice atmosphere, it hosts a number of musical events, speakers, etc. Plus always a nice art show. This is a great asset to our town.

Their working hours are just impossible for anyone other than stay-at-home hockey moms. What are we paying local taxes for ?nnOther town libraries around us have normal work hours.

We go there quite often as they have the bestest children's section. The upgrades done to that are so amazing that all of my friends and family who live elsewhere show willingness to visit this library whenever they visit us. Staff is helpful and friendly. They have various sections at different floor and huge collection of books for each age group. Kids section has various activities for kids indoor as well as a small custom garden with interactive things has been designed beautifully to enjoy during good weather days. Love this place and glad to have access to it in our neighborhood.

I was first introduced to this library due to a lecture I did on Walt Whitman last year. I am so glad that I ventured into this library since it is a great place to relax or do work in. There are great areas to study in, multiple outlets, and a really friendly staff.
