I love donating used clothes to salvation army.i usually throw them in public metal bins.to help the poor.

Have bought many designer label tops, a winter coat from Kohl's for under $10, nice kitchen items, pots and pans, etc. I always have plenty of Christmas tree decorations.

Honestly, community helpers is so much better. The Salvation Army prices are ridiculously high, if it has a new tag on it, they don't care if it is 20 years old they charge an incredibly high price. I found sandals there for 1$ more than at Walmart. Also jeans, for 1.99$ more than at Walmart. Used silverware costs the same or more than the cheap silverware at Walmart that you can buy 4/1$ It is very disappointing because it is supposed to be a service to the community. All of their items are donated.nAlso, I remember going here once with my son who was 4 years old at the time. He decided to tell me he had to go to the bathroom really bad after we went In here. They absolutely refused to allow him to use the bathroom. A 4 year old child. The original founder of the Salvation Army would be rolling in his grave if he knew what this Salvation Army has turned into. This store in Gloversville is not recommended. Other stores in other places are much better but this one is not. Sadly.
