This mall is great, but not for the reasons you'd expect. My family went to the western New York area a month ago (we're from the eastern part of the state) and Phase ID was a must stop. In order to get to Phase ID, we basically had to walk from the front entrance to the entire mall. Let me tell you, this mall is creepy! Once you come in, it feels like you're in an alternate dimension. It feels like some '80s nuclear wasteland where there's pretty much only you and some Tears for Fears playing on the speakers. Do I think the mall can come back from that? I don't know. As someone who lives in an area with another dead mall (only ours is stuck in the early '00s), that would be really hard. However, do I think that if they capitalized off that creepy overall vibe this place gives off, they'd have success? Absolutely. Though this place is not exactly booming, it's worth going for the creepy feel alone.

Althrough I didn't think it was dying or sad, it is and my only visit to this mall was in 2018

It's like a flea market

Despite many stores being shut down, I still want to give Eastern Hills Mall a good review. It's still a nice, relaxing place to walk around. If you are looking for a shopping spree, this mall might not be what you are looking for. However, the mall has a few collectable/antique stores, a beautiful city of Buffalo fan store, and some other odds and ends shops that you'll enjoy.

Nice mall! Clean and well kept, an interesting variety of stores. Unfortunately, very few people. I am afraid without the traffic, it won't be around long.nIn any event, it is a single floor mall. All the stores are easily accessible by wheelchair. There are wide hallways which is especially helpful during this pandemic, but would also be helpful in a wheelchair in a crowd. I have been in about half the mall, so I can only speak to the stores near Lens Crafters, but they appear to be easily accessible by chair. I would have to assume the other stores are the same or similar. Also, I can't speak to the accessibility of the interior of the stores, but getting into them should be effortless.nThat being said, getting into the mall may be problematic. First, the parking spots for the physically challenged are a fair distance away from the entrances to accommodate through roads. Getting to the entrances will be challenging because most of the ramps to the sidewalk/entrance are a little steep for wheelchairs. If you can still walk, you should not have any problem. Now, the back entrance (I believe it is door#1 in their classification system) near the Niagara Emporium is NOT easily navigated. First, the parking is quite the distance from the entrance. Secondly, the condition of the parking area is not wheelchair friendly. Also, the inclination of the area is impressive, not in degree but in duration. If I was visiting the mall and needed to get to a store in the back, I would rather park in the front and make my way there inside. That way, I wouldn't have to deal with the weather or the trek to the door.nLike I said, nice mall, but I would advise driving around it once or twice to get just the right entrance for your physical ability.nnEnjoy!
