In the very early hours of July 19 2020, my wife and I are standing in a neighbors yard watching the blazing fire that was our home of nearly 22 years. I’m thinking that not only is my home gone, but also the secure life my wife and I had built for ourselves. What do we do now? There’s a million thoughts going through my head. The foremost thought is what do I do first. What’s the most important thing I need to do.nnIt was about this time that I was approached by a gentleman who said he was a volunteer fireman who lived in the neighborhood. He wanted to make sure we were alright and that everyone was out of the house. He said he wanted to give me something , not as a fireman, but as a neighbor. What he gave me was a piece of paper with a phone number and three letters written on it. The letters were NFA.nnMike McKenica from NFA came to my daughters house to talk to us that noon. At first I thought he was just another salesman. Not so much. Mike is a trusted friend. A month after our insurance settlement, Mike is still helping to answer questions and helped with finding a real estate lawyer to represent us in selling our property.nnMr. William ‘Bill’ Troy was assigned as our representative. His knowledge, patience, and genuine interest in our well being has never ceased to amaze us.nnThe loss of our home was devastating. We had no idea what to do, what we needed to do, how to do it, where to even start. NFA took care of everything, EVERYTHING!nnI sincerely hope you never find yourself standing in a neighbor’s yard watching you home burn. Katie Papa and Team were terrific in supporting our family and helping us during an extremely chaotic and stressful experience (major flood to our home and we have 3 small children under the age of 5). Mike McKenica and the team at NFA are lifesavers. I tried to start doing my own inventory and was so overwhelmed and stressed out by it so I called Mike. They did such a thorough job and I never would have gotten as much as I did by myself. Mike also made sure I knew what was going on at all times and if I contacted him he responded quickly to make sure I was aware of any updates. This whole process was so much less stressful hiring them. I would highly recommend anyone to use them.
