Houston Field House

Great hockey rink. Old school. Love the nostalgic feel of the place. although RPI lost, they put up a good fight. I doubt if there is a bad seat in the house.

This place is way to cool for me, I grew up in this neighborhood and spent a lot of time in this place. You would never know that the field house was bought from the U. S. Navy Seabees in Davisville, RI. after WW II and shipped here. It has changed and grown so much since then. Still a great place to see a hockey game. Super clean. Just be prepared to walk some hills, but the exercise is well worth it.

A prized piece of RPI history. It is is wonderful to be inside this massive structure. Seats fit my long legs. Ben and Jerry's ice cream adds a sweet perk to the hockey games. The large trinitron is clear with new graphics and ads. Ads seem to be everywhere, a sign of the times. It is abetter night when your team wins, but there are no bad seats here.

RPI hockey is a great tradition. Engineers are looking better every year after some tough times.
