Merzatta

Today, I had the most inspiring experience at Merzatta in Morristown! The store is literally a chic gallery filled with unexpected jewelry designs and many treasures such as unique wall art, pottery, handbags, scarves and fun!! Before making 2 significant purchases (gifts for dearest friends) I tried things on, marveled at the gorgeous wrist cuffs and put on rings that are museum pieces, crafted in ancient times. This is not just a jewelry shop, but rather a portal to an imaginative place filled with charm, beauty and smiles!! I loved my experience as well as my purchases. I'm working on my Merzatta wish list...

I usually HATE going to jewelry stores. The awkwardness, the expectation of buying something shiny “that your wife will just LOVE!” We spent probably 2 hours with Danielle talking about how the pieces were made, her inspirations for the pieces. It was a fascinating discussion about nature and plants and process and metallurgy. And then she started showing us videos of how other artists make their pieces that were also in the shop. Danielle was so engaging and genuinely interested in us and what we found interesting. I came away excited (about what we picked out) and inspired to spend bit more time on my own creative outlets.

The store is magnificent. The jewelry , beside beautiful by itself, is presented so carefully around the natural materials it was inspired or derived from! The additional art such as bags and pottery are such a fun way to support other artists and give them a space , that you’ll find yourself walking out with a mug or two and two new pieces of jewelry.... and you’ll feel glorious. Danielle , Chris and their team are helpful , detailed and inspiring. I purchased several pieces and am far from done extending my Merzatta collection! Love the store and their art. Highly recommend stopping in.

A friend referred me to Danielle to create a birthday present for my mother's 70th. We did a video consult, I mailed her some older pieces I had and she did an amazing sketch and went to work. My mother was blown away. Can't thank her enough!

Merzatta is the go-to place for hand-crafted jewelry you can’t find anywhere else. At least, I can’t find anywhere else. I have purchased unique gifts for my wife to celebrate Mother’s Day, birthdays, and just to say I Love You. The owners are so friendly and go the extra mile to make sure the gift I choose is perfect.
