Joseph Meeks - State Farm Insurance Agent

I really struggled with rating this review with one star because the agent for this location is Joseph Meeks who I have never had a problem with. I have carried homeowners insurance with this State Farm office for 9 years and decided to cancel my policy to go with another insurance agency and I have NEVER encountered so much unprofessionalism as I did with their manager, Paul Broskey. I called asking to speak with Joseph and was stonewalled by Paul Broskey, once I told him I needed to cancel my policy he immediately began to cut me off when I was trying to speak. I requested that he send my premium back to my escrow and again, he cut me off telling me he will not - that he would send a check. After that, I asked if he could email me proof of the cancellation - he again refused and told me he would send it in the mail. Finally, after dealing with his resistance, I asked to speak with someone else, in the office. He stated that he was the highest ranking person in the office which was shocking and disappointing considering his disposition I told him I was appalled at just how unprofessional he was and I would prefer to speak with ANYONE else in the office regardless of rank. He again refused and continued to tell me what he would NOT do to accommodate me. Exasperated, I finally got off the phone with him after telling him I expected him to handle my policy responsibly. If you do engage with this office, keep it with Mr. Meeks. I wonder if Paul would have handled me like that if Mr. Meeks had been around....
