Califon is a great independent bookstore with a very smart and service oriented owner. And Califon carries Bird Watcher Bernie Story Decks that are great fun for kids and adults alike. If you need suggestions just ask and they will point you in the right direction.

Great space and selection. Wonderful for kids. It looks like something out of Harry Potter. Warm, friendly staff to make helpful suggestions. Bought two kids books they're with their help yesterday.
