Loft 51

I went to the Lost in the Loft party and it was amazing! The location was difficult to get to, so we had to take an uber to navigate. The bar is OVERPRICED, we paid $17 for ONE drink and $40 for Hookah... NOT WORTH IT!

The bouncer was the most rudest man I ever met. He had the nerve to look at my outfit up and down and say I wasnt dressed well enough for a party and next tine we wont let me in. I never had a problem getting numbers dispite what style outfit i decide to where that night. And to make things worse, admission and drinks are both 20+ each ...

This place is a trashy scam. Save yourself the money and grief because this place oversells on tickets online and then refuses to let you in. Here’s a suggestion to the owner, there’s this term called “sold out”. Use it.nnSeveral friends and I bought tickets online to attend another friend’s birthday party. We arrived at 12:00 AM and got on line expecting to wait a little for the bouncer to check IDs and move people along. But, all we heard was the bouncer screaming “We’re not letting anyone in right now”. Ok, fine, the birthday boy and other people in our group were already inside so we waited on line with the crowd of people growing every minute who keep in mind , all ALREADY bought tickets online. I know this because we were all pulling up tickets on our phone to show the bouncer thinking that maybe he meant he wasn’t letting people in who didn’t have tickets. Nope, that was just wishful thinking.nnAfter about 20 minutes of seeing herds of people leaving Loft 51, several people including my group went up to ask the bouncer if we could go in only to be told “No one’s going in right now”. We would’ve left then and there but this was to celebrate someone’s birthday so we sucked it up and waited some more.nAt 12:57 AM, almost an hour since we arrived, the owner joined the bouncer at the door to announce “We’re closing the door, no one’s going in anymore. Someone yelled out to the owner, are we getting a refund and he just shrugged it off. So much for celebrating a friend’s birthday, a crowd of us who spent money on tickets never even made it inside.nnLike any other club in the city, there’s almost always going to be some wait but this is the first time I’ve been to a club that SCAMMED so much money out of people only to then not let them in at all.

Probably the club with one of the best atmospheres in New York City !!
