The Landmark at 57 West

More a 3.5. May just be my one experience but went to go see a limited release movie there as not many theaters were playing it including my go to theater. Theater looked nice outside and in and had good concessions too. I was in auditorium 6 which was a bigger sized theater than some of their other auditoriums. Seats were comfortable but were not the full reclined seats with the button to lay out like I thought they would be. Apparently those are only in the smaller rooms. The seats were comfy and did recline back by leaning back but still wishes they were the other seats especially for this long movie. My biggest gripe was how hot it was. It was as if they kept turning up the heat every so often until it got hot to the point I was sweating. Definitely made it harder to sit through the whole movie comfortably because it was crazy hot. I'm not the only one because everybody I was with said it was hot and as we got up I heard other people say the same. I wouldn't say I'd never return but I'd def stick to my go to theater.

Very posh theater. They had comfortable reclining seats before it became a standard in the city. The lobby and restrooms are reminiscent of a very nice hotel. It’s connect to bar but I don’t think you can bring drinks or food from there into the theater. They have their own concession stand and it has the usual junk food most theaters offer at $$. The staff is courteous and professional. The theater is much clear we than most theaters I’ve been too in New York City. They don’t have as many screens or how as many titles as the larger movie chains but their prices are competitive and the experience is elevated.

Usually it’s a nice experience but not today. After taking cab all the way over here from East Side they were having issue with credit card. I would have happily paid cash. Other people waiting too since their movie started. They ran it through but couldn’t print receipt. It was five minutes after movie started but I was assured there were previews. I guess there weren’t since movie started already. Subtitles so didn’t want to miss beginning. Someone was in my assigned seat. I walked out. Another ten minutes to get a credit slip to print out. Wasn’t leaving with out it. Another cab ride back to East Side. They should have offered me a pass for the future. CluelessnManager.

The Landmark was a wonderful theatre. They serve alcohol at this location and have a beautiful food menu. Staff is really friendly and always willing to help. Over all great place to have a couple of drinks while you wait for your movie to start.

Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Very comfortable recliner seats. Restaurant/Bar on site from which they even let you take your food and alcoholic drinks with you into the theater. All around a fantastic theater experience!
