Newark Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse

quite an enjoyable experience. This was my first business class lounge, so take them and stay with a gram of salt. I found the entire staff to be friendly and the food to be about average. Nothing gourmet, but flavorful and well prepared. The space is quite large with lots of room and unique places to sit. Distinct areas that give you the impression that they were thoughtfully designed.

This lounge is just as aggressively hip as one would expect from Virgin; however, the largest drawback for me would be the Priority Pass restrictions. Not only are Priority Pass members restricted to 12 - 5 pm hours, but it would also seem that the lounge menu has likewise been pared down to reduce costs & consumption. Aside from that issue, the space is well-appointed and service is attentive and thoughtful. During my visit, alcohol was restricted to wine & beer (not sure if that was another Priority Pass special circumstance, but wouldn't be surprised if that was the case).nnNot bad for what it is, but definitely wasn't worth leaving Art & Lounge.

The lounge is great with couches chairs and large TV screen. Food is served rather than buffet style and thus come in hot and fresh. Coffee is great and good tea selection. Just too few washrooms for women and men combined.

Open to Priority Pass in the afternoons. Relatively quiet, clean, and a nice place to sit. Easily accessible after security. Selection of drinks and snacks are basic, but are upgraded to the usual upper-class fare in the evenings. Bar and tableside service is friendly and fast.
