Had a teacher from this school serve as a math advance credit course teacher at a summer academy located at Newark Academy this year. the teacher will not be mentioned in the comments for privacy and security reasons, but there were also some west essex kids in this class. The teacher had mentioned that she graded by what school district the students went to and if the district is tough she will fail you. She also abuses students by threating to rip up their quizzes, tests, and homeworks, which is not what a good teacher should be doing. Teachers at my district hs are not like this
Advanced Math & Calculus with Malcolm Simpson: Band and Orchestra with Gordon Williams and Frank Scoccoza; 8th grade Art with -Mr Lowe? Intro to BASIC computer programming via a teletype machine on the math dept (we were featured in Bell Tel Commications magazine!) Biology I and Ii with Mr Roarke; pilot project of substituting Psychology and/or Sociology,for one US History year/semester; football games wih the band performing on the field on cold days in the fall; and much more!
