Chestnut Ridge Dental: Dr. Joseph A. Lota, DMD

Dr. Joe Lota is the best dentist I've ever been to, and he makes me laugh which is important because I'm a nervous dental patient. I came to him through his hygienist Kristen, also highly recommended, and will never go anywhere else. He's extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind, and most importantly, gentle. He always tells me everything he's doing to keep me calm which is what I need. I'm sure if you don't want to know anything about what he's doing he wouldn't share. The TV's in the exam rooms are a nice distraction. His office staff is fabulous and good natured! They're always on top of my insurance and there are never surprises. The waiting room, bathroom, office, and exam rooms are SPOTLESS. There is also a great text message confirmation service so you never forget an appointment, no matter how much you want to lol. Would give 10 stars if I could!

I had a great experience with Dr. Mufson. He was excellent. I broke my tooth the day before, called his office the next day since it was the closest to my house and they fit me into his schedule. I asked him to save my tooth from a crown and he did that. He explained the procedure in detail and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire filling process, which was complicated. He could have easily told me I needed a crown, but thankfully the tooth was savable by the way it broke. That to me is a clear sign of honesty and integrity. I trust his advice and opinion and I would absolutely recommend Dr. Mufson.
