This is a primary care practice that demonstrates respect for every patient. I have been coming since 1992 and I’ve always been well looked after. Dr. Buirkle and Dr. Schwartz are friendly and thorough, you never feel out of place. Highly recommended!nnI’ve managed Corporate Benefit plans for twenty-five years and have referred local employees and friends to this group. I would say the one star review that appears does not nearly reflect the average patient experience at this practice.

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Buirkle who wouldn't renew an epi pen for me unless I came in for an exam. As a person who can have very serious effects from bee stings, what would be the reason for an exam?nnIn December, prior to going away I called multiple times and got turned down. I asked my pharmacy to call and the response was not necessary. WHAT?nnCome in for a BS exam During Covid?nnFor an Epi pen?nnI had a yearly physical appointment booked for January 2021 already and had been seeing his associate for years. Needless to say, I am no longer with his practice and found a caring Dr. who provided the response and care needed.nnAdvocate for yourself and don't let doctors dictate their selfish needs over what is going to help you medically within reason.

The Old Tappan Medical Group may have fancy new digs. Nothing has changed in their inability to navigate the 21st century or to develop a business model that includes patient care. These guys are truly dinosaurs.

Dr. Buirkle has been my PCP for over 10 years. Over the years he has addressed all of my questions and concerns, and provided a very thorough examination, followed by the appropriate lab work when needed. He never rushes me out. In addition, he is very personable, professional, courteous, and compassionate. I have the utmost admiration, appreciation, and respect for Dr. Buirkle. The nurses you see prior to the dr are friendly and professional. The receptionists at the new location are warm and welcoming and the wait time is amazing, usually under 10 minutes.
