Trent Montessori Pre-School

I consider myself most fortunate that I was able to enroll my son in Trent Montessori at the beginning of the 2014 school year. We had been abroad and my 5 year old was transferring from a foreign, albeit English-speaking school.nnThe teachers at Trent worked with my son to assess where he stood academically (which was behind the children who had already been in the school from an earlier age) and got him working at a level of study that was a correct gradient for him. Since that time, my child has gone from a struggling, not-very-interested-in-school boy to a flourishing and very bright one.nnWhere he was previously shy and introspected on a sense of inferiority he has now blossomed to being very proud of his reading, writing, arithmetic, art and music, among other things, and he has only just turned 7.nnIt is difficult to put into words how grateful I am as a parent that my son, who graduated Kindergarten at Trent two days ago, will now be going into First Grade with confidence -- a 180 degree turn from where we were two years ago.nnThere is no doubt in my mind that this success came down to Trent. Specifically, 1) the Montessori method of teaching as it was applied, 2) the long-term Trent teachers who worked with my child holistically, 3) the fact that there is a sensible student-teacher ratio so my child was able to get the attention he needed until he was able to work on his own and 4) The invaluable teacher/parent relationship I was able to have with this private school.nnBeing a newcomer in Northern Kentucky in 2014, I only realized after some time of meeting other local parents just how lucky I had been to get my son into Trent. I have come across a number of graduates, including my neighbor's daughter who graduated Highland's High School last year with a full college scholarship. But it all started for her at Trent.nnThank you, from the bottom of my heart, for everything you have done for my child.
