I performed in this theater in the 1980s, and then fought to save it from developers wanting to turn it into condos. The acoustics are amazing, it's beautuful, and it feels intimate: You can't ask for a better experience for audiences and performers alike. It would be impossible to recreate a treasure like this. I am so glad it remains an extant feature of Portsmouth's history, and a gathering place for the community and for visitors to my favorite little New England city.
The comedy shows was great. 168 people in attendance, most groups were 15 to 20 feet away. Great to get out!
Awesome show, first live music in a long time! Amazing venue!
Very well run venue; especially w covid protocols
Only open for very small shows but they are doing a wonderful job keeping the patrons, staff and artists safe.
