On the bay side (actually, the river side, but it might as well be a bay if you think about such things) you will find rocky beaches - with some nice strands of good sand. Very nice accomodations - trails to walk around - play areas for kids - etc. Dogs are officially allowed on leash - and you MUST P.U.P. (Pick Up the Poop!!!), but a local secret is that the park is closed until 10 AM and before that time nobody is watching whether your dog is on leash or not. It is an excellent spot to find calm salt water (no surf) for wading or swimming.

we love the ocean kayaking, pier, playground, benches, grassy area. The bathrooms can seem far away with a child with you but otherwise we love it here.

Beautiful park. Pathes right along shore. Long easy walk to park after season done. Amazing views and lots of dog people.

A great family-friendly and dog-friendly beach! Charcoal grills and picnic tables are available.
