I was caught between a rock and a hard place, struggling for two weeks to get my doctor's office to call my scripts into Walgreen's instead of the previous pharmacy I'd used after my insurance changed. Twice, Walgreen's had to call my old pharmacy to transfer my script so they could fill it. The second time, I was warned by Walgreen's that it was a big hassle to do the transfer and that I should have my doc's office call my scripts into them. I had been trying to do that, but it was my doctor's office NOT ME who wouldn't make the change. After two weeks of struggle and yes, tears on my part, I finally got my doctor's office to agree to call my script into Walgreen's instead of my prior pharmacy. But, unfortunately, they had already called in the 3rd script to my old pharmacy. So I called Walgreen's and told the girl who answered that I was really sorry, but could they please, please one more time make a call for a script transfer, and I let her know that going forward the doctor would send the script to Walgreen's so this would absolutely be the last time they'd need to ask for a transfer. I was so relieved to finally have this squared away! But 5 minutes later Dan calls me from Walgreens to say No, he's called for transfers too many times and he will not make another call for a transfer for me. I said I was so sorry and told him that it is straightened out going forward. He still said NO he will NOT make the call to transfer the script. Dan acted as if I was just being lazy when the whole time it was the doctor's office who wouldn't listen to me, and he kept acting like I was a bad person even after I explained that to him. I was clearly upset but apparently this pharmacy thinks the worst of people and just wants to blame them and not help them. Apparently making a phone call for a transfer is a monumental task that is extremely difficult for this pharmacy to do.
