What an amazing park. We took the blue trail and it was a bit challenging for a family with little kids (approx. 1.5 hours uphill). The view from the top was absolutely beautiful. Bring enough water, as there is none along the way.
Morning hiking
Short hike with great views. Beautiful forest, lots of cool rocks, relatively easy climb. Restrooms, parking, water, picnic tables, sheltered area and a watchtower at the top. More connected trails to a second peak if you want a longer hike. 80 minutes at a moderate pace on either trail, 30 minutes up the road to the top.
Enjoyed the rocky hike! You will get good top view from Wapack trail. There is a small coffee and souvenir shop. You can also ride with your car to the top. Hike is moderate and children will love little adventure climbing through rocky patches. Hike is recommended.
Very nice. Just wish there were guard rails on the road.
