Rasmussen was an amazing learning experience. I was able to plan and set my program pretty easily with the help of the Lake Elmo staff. The course instructors were very knowledgeable and took time to work with us so that we could really learn the material. I first undertook the medical coding certificate which I achieved around six months. Then I transferred into an HIT associate program to get my two year degree. Transferring my prior college classes was easy, which helped me get my associates with Rasmussen much faster.nnThe classes can go by quickly but are jam-packed with information. The online learning is also very convenient for my schedule. There is also the awesome nomination scholarship that can help with tuition.

I have been with Rasmussen for as long as I know. Haha! But with my experience there, it is so amazing! It has been a roller coaster! But on the good end, all the instructors and my advisor are so helpful when it comes to, in need of help and learning or even if it just a question. I am a mother of 5 kids I just recently had my newborn last year in Nov, 2020. I know that with all my kids and also a full time worker including part time going to school at Rasmussen, it was very hard and complicated! Sometimes I wonder how do I deal with all these crazy stuff but on the side note, I am also glad I did it because I want to show all my kids everything is POSSIBLE if you work hard for it. And I also want to show my kids a good role model of how important school. I just graduated with my AA degree in Human Resource and I am planning on going for my bachelors degree and continuing my education. There are few times where sometimes I want to give up because with 5 kids like me it is super frustrating and especially with the pandemic going on too, it’s really hard. If anyone could see what I have to dealt with, you wouldn’t want to be in it. But while attend college at Rasmussen, my advisor has always been the greatest at contacting me and making sure I don’t fall on any of my courses even though I did failed a few times to where to the point I can’t even or might not even get help with financial aid anymore and have to pay out of pocket. My advisor have been there to help guide me through it all and making sure I don’t attempt to just walk out because I sure was about to give up. Because it was just that hard for me. I have a lot to say but I will just leave it here. I do hope I can encourage some of you or anyone out there, because when you think you won’t make it, you will if you just keep pushing yourself. I honestly didn’t think I will. I did changed my major a few times too. So, it kind of took me awhile to get to where I am at now. But if you stick to one major, I’m sure you’ll be fine and won’t be at Rasmussen long like me. Rasmussen a great school with a lot help around if you just ask. I’m glad I attended Rasmussen college. Because without all the help I need, I wouldn’t be here now with my degree. And remember, anything is POSSIBLE if you make it possible! :)

As a military spouse and mother, it is so convenient that all courses are online. I am about to finish my medical coding and billing certificate and I have just applied for the HIT program. I did my research about accreditation and calculated how much my loan will add up at the end of my bachelors, I suggest for you to do the same and see which college is best fit for you. So far, my classes have been great and I am learning so much. For me, the best thing that helped me progress in class was getting my assignments done 2-3 days early and sending it to my professors for more tips. They don't give you answers but they can answer any questions you may have. The timing for tutors did not work w/ my schedule but my professors were always there to help and they reply really quick. The longest a professor took to answer me was one day. I would suggest to take advantage of that or use tutoring if it fits in your schedule. Another thing that helped me was to watch the live lectures and get the assessment code in right away. Or else I watch the recording and pause the lecture to take notes. Reading the textbooks, even just skimming through and highlighting things will help you. Most important thing is to practice the problems, since this is what you will be doing in your career. I like how Rasmussen's online courses are set up and its fast pace. If it gets too hard, you can talk to your counselor and they can help you fix your schedule. Some classes are definitely confusing and difficult, but always ask questions.

My experience at the Lake Elmo campus has been wonderful and really helped reassure that I could make it thru school one more time. My advisor was always a phone call away and sometime she beat me to the punch and would call or email me just to check up on me to see how I was doing. The staff and faculty were always friendly and willing to help in any way. I would recommend this campus to anyone that is Dealing with the struggle of going back to school or has any hesitation about beginning there journey. Here is were you start! Graduate of 2020

I have nothing but the upmost gracious things to say about the Rasmussen Woodbury campus in MN. Time and time again they have expressed their care for their students no matter if it is students’ questions or helping you on your way to become a successful graduate. I had entered into Rasmussen a cancer diagnosis patient. I had concerns, worries and not to mention I needed some extra help because of chemo fog. Collette my advisor has been so helpful. She might not always have been at the phone 24/7 but she has always tried to get back to me. She has helped me rearrange my schedules when I needed it and always tried to help me answer any questions I had about my courses. This Rasmussen campus has made me feel almost like family. They not only want to make sure that your courses are going well but they really like to make sure everything in your life is going well too. They really care about their students on and off campus. They have always showed great flexibility too. I first enrolled full time but after realizing with treatments and everything else going on I could only manage 6 credits at a time in order to learn effectively. They were very accommodating and helped me rearrange my schedule around to help fit my needs. Teachers here are also very accommodating. If you have issues going on and explain to them about troubles they are more than willing to work with you on things, and try to help you out to make sure you are getting the best education experience possible. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences here and highly recommend this campus to anyone who is looking for a learning experience with faculty members who care deeply and want a flexible plan that can fit around your busy schedule. It does take time to adjust to online learning but if you can get the hang of it then there is no other place like Rasmussen.
