Stateview is great if you want to live moreso like in an apartment, you get your own room, and you share a living room, bathroom, and kitchen (With fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and oven) with up to three other people.nnThe biggest problem with Stateview is the heating, even on the lowest settings the room gets far too warm during the colder months. There is A/C for each apartment, but it does not get into your room very well.nnAnother complaint is that beds and desks are not included, unlike Sherburne for example. Expect to pay around $200 for a box-spring and mattress. I recommend getting a small metal bed frame at a thrift store to save money (I got mine for $14). I've also noticed that the closets are much more basic than the other dorms, there is only a shelf and there is no closet door.nnOverall, however, I'd say that the value is good. I have a husky 50 meal plan, which saves me quite a bit of money. I ended up saving ~$600 this semester. If you decide to go without a meal plan, you can cook here in a more personal kitchen (shared with up to 3 others rather than with an entire floor or building) and save a lot of money.
