If you present yourself as a health care provider you take on a responsibility to treat patients, not just collect insurance information. Elderly family members tested positive for Corona and were sent home to wait days for test results, then to be told “we don’t treat Corona, stay home for 10 days, if you get more sick go to an ER.” Most elderly patients grew up in a time when the doc had your best interest in mind when diagnosing and treating, not just your insurance information. Elderly patients are likely to be too sick to know when they are more sick than they were and in need of an ER. What’s the point if no return? Laurentian staff were rude and argumentative over the phone, no compassion whatsoever.
