I usually like taking my dog for exercise around the little walk area there. On leash of course. Then you have some ignorant person yelling at me on why my dog should stay inside until night time away from kids. First off, that's animal abuse. My dog is a pit bull, for those who are wondering. This person had her kids jumping off of things from high level and her smaller dog was off a leash, which is illegal. But because hers was smaller and "was good with kids" it was ok. Look my dog is two and a half she was minding her own. If you don't like it, leave. I live over here, and it's a public place. She's registered with the state. And she's had all of her shots. But people do this all the time. They bring their rotten children, destroy things, leave trash, etc. It's up to the neighborhood to clean it up.

This is a very sad park. I say this because it is a place with high potential. The park is right on the Hobble Creek (perhaps the most criminally under-appreciated asset in the entire city) and right across a very nice pedestrian bridge from the very nice library. The playground is barely an afterthought, with no shade. There is some seating along the perimeter of the park, perhaps a place we're people could gather. The stone "contactor monument" comes off as very special-interest, self-serving. This might not be the case if the park was well designed, maintained, and the monument was an accessory, rather than seeming to be the primary purpose of the space. The bike rack is very broken, as is the water fountain. Symptoms of misuse and neglect. What this park really needs is a nice playground, one with some shade. Also, replace the bike rack and fix the water fountain, at minimum. Better utilize the Creek frontage by placing some flat Rock seating and perhaps a stair down the short shoreline to prevent further erosion. This could be a very nice little park, one that complements the great library and it's very good outdoor terrace. There some great mature trees and the views of the mountains is good. With some modest improvements, this place could be a treasure.

Nice little park. Fun construction themed toys for the kids to play with and it's adjacent to the library. Great place to take the little kids while their older siblings are in school. Fyi Hobble Creek rins right along the edge of the park so keep your eyes on the kids.

Kids like climbing on the rocks and construction vehicle playground. Only problem is that the diggers they have for kids to sit on and dig are pretty big and a child may have trouble actually digging with it.
