My favorite park to take my kids to. It's rarely crowded and it's dog friendly so we can take our pup along. Decent playground and a walking path with a small duck pond.
Spring Acres Arts Park, located at 700 South and 1300 East, is named after the Spring Acres Race Track that hosted horse racing from 1947 to 1963. The park now hosts special events such as Art City Days, Movies in the Park, concerts and festivals.
The pavilion may be used by anyone, free of charge, on a first-come, first-served basis. However, it may be reserved for a fee, which ensures exclusive use of the pavilion during the time reserved.
The lower park has a pavilion, barbecue brazier, playground, pond, drinking fountain, walking trail, tennis courts, sports field, disc golf and picnic tables.
The upper Arts Park has an amphitheater, bleachers and restrooms.
It's good for todlers this isn't a big park
Great place to play tennis or do some frolfing.
