Cherry Creek is a great school. The administration and teachers are all fantastic, and the principal seems to greet every student by name. I like that the school is on the same campus as the Springville Museum of Art, so I would often go early to pick up my children so I could visit the free museum alone, or take the children with me before we went home.
First grade is supposed to make you want to go to school, have fun and make you eager to learn. Instead a little girl who tried to spell out detailed instructions wasn't allowed to participate in the class activity because every word wasn't spelled correctly. She and 2 other children had to watch as the other students made a class treat and were not allowed to make or eat any. Being told to not tell a teacher when something happens unless you are bleeding, which led to not telling about being kicked in the stomach, held down pinched and hit. A once eager to learn child now doesn’t want to try as hard because she is punished for not get everything perfect. This school is a disgrace!!
Great school, with wonderful teachers and staff...
Good school, but the parking situation is a mess.
