Betsy Bowen Gallery

I’ve been to Betsy’s gallery 6 times in recent years and always am delighted. She’s a very talented artist and educator. I love her wood block prints and books. Very beautiful and whimsical. I just feel good after visiting and wish I had more creative bones myself.

Such a sweet lady. Her artwork is so amazing and creative. You can see how it's all put together from start to finish. Selections of works from other local artists as well. Don't forget to look up on the ceiling....many of the retired printing block are just above your head!

The gallery is lovely with a great mix of classical and whimsical works. I actually visited Crosby Bakery, which is tucked into the back corner of the gallery (an old church). The bakery isn't really a walk-in, but takes special orders for cakes, bread, scones, etc. Lemon bars are Hana Crosby's specialty, but I tried her raspberry white chocolate scones & her savory spinach and feta scones. Delicious!

Love Betsy's artwork! We always stop in whenever we get up to Grand Marais. I have collected quite a few of her prints, and they always bring me good memories and a smile. She has several other artists showcasing their work at her gallery. Something interesting and beautiful for everyone. Stop by, you will be happy you did!
