I’ve heard so much about this zoo and how amazing it is. I ended up going here today with my two children (2 years and 9 months) my boyfriend and my mother. We were all super excited, but our mood quickly changed as we starting walking around. It was a little hot today, and we noticed a lot of the animals did not have enough shade. Animals were all huddled together in small spaces where there was shade to try and keep cool. Almost all of the animals seemed very lethargic and just not aware of their surroundings. The happiest animal I saw was probably the parrot enclosure, or all the cute prairie dogs. I feel the fox’s and the coyote should have so much more room, they were in such small cages. My heart hurt after leaving this zoo. I’d like to come back on a little bit cooler of a day, and see if the animals are acting different. Today was a let down for us for sure.
A very fun unexpected adventure to us. We were staying in the area at a resort and saw information on this attraction so we decided to check it out. It was such a fun day. Unique animals. Our daughter has difficulty with too much walking and this a perfect size. Had a blast playing with baby ringtail lemur and watching others interact with him too.
We had a lovely afternoon. This zoo has a lot to offer for the size and price. This is a wonderful addition to lakes country.
Excellent animals friendly staff and was so happy didn't have to use walkers because they had a golf cart to drive around the zoo so did not have to walk around the zoo. Highly recommend very nice for those who want to see great animals and also for those who are not able to walk that much. They did not charge extra on price of zoo charge for use of it either. Went on July 4 2020 my 44 birthday sure made my day.
This was an awesome visit. Great place and great fun. Your Cockatoo was a hoot, he followed me around the cage saying hi and cooing at me for over half an hour.y kiddos loved feeding all the critters. Keep up the good work.
