Suomi Hills Kennel

It was a wonderful experience. My kids loved it. Joel was very flexible with splitting up the rides into multiple shorter rides which worked great for us because our two and a half year old wouldn't have sat through the whole ride because it was very cold. He also has a heated private room that we could use to change into our winter clothes at our own pace.

We booked the 5 hour tour for 8 people in late December (4 adults and 4 kids, ages 17,14, 14 and 11). The time we spend there was the highlight of our 3 day vacation. It was so neat how when we pulled up the dogs start howling in excitement for company. You can see how much Joel loves his dogs. His dogs are very friendly but do like to jump on you, so be ready for hugs. Our first hour was spent learning about the dogssledding and hooking up the dogs. The next 3 hours we took turns standing on the back sled or riding up front. The last hour was spent unhooking the dogs and snuggling with them more. He has a heated room to change winter clothes and a nice bathroom. I would definitely recommend this experience.

Absolutely fabulous afternoon. Best couples activity ever. Beautiful, peaceful setting. Educational about the industry and the kennel itself. Explore Minnesota from a whole new perspective.
