Henry Ford Cancer Institute - Brownstown

I went here for my radiation treatments and the staff was great! Everyone was very kind and professional. I never had to wait very long for treatment even if I came early. Thank you so much for making this experience more tolerable.

Hello my husband was diagnosed with cancer three weeks ago. He was in Henry Ford Wyandotte hospital and released two days later. We was referred to Henry Ford Cancer center in Brownstown on Allen Road the doctor gave us the news that has changed our lives he made my husband some appointments for a PET SCAN on that Sunday. On Wednesday my husband really started hurting bad the doctor told us that if we need anything just call. On Friday his pain was unbearable I called the cancer center in Brownstown they indicated he was at the Fairland campus I let them know the reason for the call so I called that office the person that answered said the doctor was out of town and said okay who is taking his cases SHE told me NO ONE and he has no one that works for him later that day Brownstown called my husband told us to come in another doctor recommended we get over the counter Tylenol pain pills and called over medicine for nausea that’s still have not been used. Sunday my husband took his test Monday nothing from his CANCER DOCTOR Tuesday I called Brownstown to speak with the doctor about my husbands pain the person said he was with a patient and will call me back I called while we were waiting to have his MRI at 3:45 no call I called a 4:30 office was closed haven’t heard from the CANCER DOCTOR YET. I understand it’s not their love ones but this is mine we are going somewhere now where they CARE and Return calls before the day is over even the DOCTOR.

My mom was being treated by these so called experts since 1998. She was declared cancer free 2 years after extensive treatment. The year of 2015 she began telling her doctor some symptoms she was having and requested a pap on multiple occasions. Her joke of a doctor told her the symptoms were related to stress of her mom passing and not cancer. After more request for a pap her doctor finally listened and the results came back stage 4. Today my mom is surrounded by love ones saying goodbye. This place and a certain doctor is a joke and treat patients like a statistic and not a individual patient.
