I was hiking a trail in one of the beautiful mountains around the area. I happened to pass a no trespassing gate for 10 seconds. An officer nearby just sat watching me and a few friends as we passed, never telling us about the property. As we were leaving, he stopped us and wrote each of us a citation.
Long story short, I waited seven days to call the court and lo and behold, they're only open 4 hours a day. I called the next three days during business hours and the phones went to voicemail. I live about an hour and a half away and time is running out before there is a warrant issued for my arrest simply because the court won't answer their phones.
Absolute garbage. I get a caught in a speeding trap at the end of the month when Highway Patrol is attempting to make their quota. I'm from out of state and the court house is never open. I can't even pay this ticket if I wanted to because they're open 4 hours a day, three days per week. They're literally extorting money from their own residents and poor tourists who get caught by corrupt officials waiting behind signs where the speed limit changes. Unreal.
Observing Judge Williams, I am sorry for anyone sent before her. She is harsh, fails to listen, and doesn't even use proper grammar.
How did she ever get appointed?
Quite efficient. Took care of everything with a nice small town attitude.
