I have entrusted my medical care to Bay Area Family Physicians (BAFP) for 25 years. We made enquiries when we moved to New Baltimore from Warren and BAFP was recommended. I was assigned to Dennis Ramus, M.D. to be under his care. I have been fortunate to have Dr. Ramus as my primary care physician for the entire period. In addition to Dr. Ramus, the entire staff from reception to blood draw, nursing care, followup on prescriptions and when necessary referrals for outside care such as therapy and arranging appointments all have been consistently top notch and professional.

I’ve always had good experiences here. My most recent visit I called in the morning and was able to get an appointment with my doctor the same day. The wait time was less than 5 minutes.(although not always the case, because he takes as much time with his patients as they need).

I see Dr. Rowsell. I feel he really listens and takes the time to talk things through at each appointment. He’s the best PCP I’ve seen. The staff is friendly and helpful. Getting an appointment is usually timely.

I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but every time I visit it is clear this place does not care about me as a patient. They never seem to know why I'm there and I'll have to switch rooms last minute, etc. Extremely unprofessional. They don't seem to properly update their charts or remember things recorded from previous visits that were rather important and time dependent. The worst part is the surprise bill I receive in the mail a month after every visit for a random charge. It's either for a service I did not ask for or authorize, or something my insurance does not cover because it is so ridiculous.
