I saw Dr Hayes about a year after having a cesarean section. He had lots to share about his frustrations about HMOs. After telling him about my symptoms he said there’s no reason a healthy woman should have a c-section (baby was in distress and my OB is the Chairman of the Dept). Hayes advised that I do some sit-ups.nnI immediately returned to my former DO on the other side of town who referred me to a surgeon. I had herniated multiple layers of the original cesarean (engaged my abs too soon) and had developed a herniated mass about the size of a grapefruit that needed surgical repair. The surgeon said sit ups would have torn it further.nnIve worked in 3 hospital systems and my family all work in healthcare: surgeons, PAs, Pharmacists, Nurses and administrators. Jeffrey Hayes should be avoided. His bedside manner isn’t his only shortcoming.

Dr Hayes is one of the best doctors I have come across. He is straight to the point, intelligent and well rounded. Thankful to have someone like him as my primary!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Hayes for about 9 months now and at first I was taken back by his demeanor. From our first meeting he told me, that he is bluntly honest and to the point. He said if that is not the type of doctor I wanted to seek another doctor.nnI gave him a chance and have found he really is a great doctor. He doesn’t pretend he knows something beyond his knowledge and will refer you out if necessary. He has always listened to what I need and helped me.nnActually, once you get to know him a bit you realize he’s a pretty good guy but if you want to be coddled, definitely not the doctor for you.

I feel that this Doctor is misunderstood. He made me completely uncomfortable with his rudeness, but I truly don’t feel thatnit is intentional. I think that he is a high strung and high stress individual. Maybe a chemical imbalance? Either way he did what I needed him to. At first I felt blown off, but he actually came through and helped me. It was defiantly a different Doctor experience. If you are a highly sensitive person then I would avoid coming here. That’s me actually. But, I kept my mouth shut. He did something for me that no other Doctor has, which is pretty cool.
