I was beyond impressed with Metro yesterday when I had my surgery. Every single one of the staff I encountered, from the person checking me in to the surgeon was so kind and professional and never seemed rushed. They estimated I would be done by 2pm and I was walking out at noon (how often does a medical facility overestimate the time? I expected to be there until 5pm). I won't have an operation anywhere else from now on.
From the entrance through surgery, aftercare through discharge, I felt like I was the only patient the staff, nurses and doctors were responsible for that day, though all had very many similar patients under their care. Personalized, compassionate, competent professional CARE, well beyond experience with others.
Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. Had to have an emergency surgery and I was treated so well and my pain was managed.
I recently had inguinal hernia surgery at metro, at first I felt as if I was getting good treatment, I don't remember much because I was put under for the surgery, but when I came to I was in extreme pain, even upon discharge from the hospital they rolled me out in a wheel chair while in extreme pain. And now being home for a few days, the after affects/complications of the surgery, and issues I am dealing with, I try to contact them to figure out what I need to do, and they set up a post op appointment 2 weeks down the line. Well I need the help and information now, not two weeks down the line. I don't care what they are going to do 2 weeks from now, the pain, the swelling, and the other complications I am dealing with at the moment are what I actually care about. I am not just complaining about Metro itself, I am complaining about our whole heath care system. Nowadays the whole heathcare system in America is just a joke. In many of the times in recent past where I went to appointments, or to the E.R. all they do is tell me things I already know, and try to give me tips on how to doctor myself, and most of the time I already know what they are telling me, also a bunch of the times I know better ways to treat myself. But after this trip to the hospital, I definitely do not recommend going in u less it is a life or death situation. Because like I said, 90% of the time you end up knowing what to do, and taking care of yourself anyway. In the past year I have gone to these hospitals and just about everytime I've gone, I end up leaving with absolute ZERO satisfaction.
Worst place EVER! I wouldn't bring my dog here.
