I am a social worker in a Nursing Center with many visually impaired residents. I have personally filled out the applications for my residents and submitted them with ease. The process takes a few minutes and you are able to select preferences of authors, genres, etc. It is super easy to work the reading machine and send the tapes back when the residents are done. They send new books frequently so my residents are never without new reading material. My residents love receiving books and magazines they can listen to for entertainment and I love that they don't have to give up their passion for reading despite losing their vision or their ability to hold a book. I LOVE this service and I am very grateful that it exists and improves the quality of life of my residents at no charge to them.

This library has servd my sister for several years. The librarians have been so wonderful! I call for my sister with special requests—“more of this author,” “more books during the lonely holidays please,” “please stop short stories.” With every request their response is kind and helpful. Our family is incredibly grateful for the services offered. My sister only 55 has M.S. She cannot hold a book or turn a page. Talking books are her lifeline. Our weekly conversations never lag because there is always a new book to discuss! Amazing service, awesome librarians.
