Flushing Area Library

One of my favorite places in Flushing, MI. They have a wide variety of books, including very recent ones well reviewed, plus music and video resources, esp for a library of its size. The staff are very personable, while still professional and always willing to assist patrons. One of my favorite experiences is the book club, featuring quite lively discussions among the members; now starting up on Zoom for the duration of the pandemic; might help you view books from a new perspective - I know it has done so for me.

Nice little library, everyone is friendly. If I can’t find what I’m looking for it’s easy to request it from another branch or from MeLCat. Just wish they had more open hours.

If the librarian doesn't know it, she is there to serve the community.. It is not her personal fiefdom to rule as she sees fit. If you don't like your job or serving the community and can't be pleasant for 8 hours, find a job where you are happy. life is too short.

I have been checking out books from the Flushing Area Library for many years. They are always very helpful. If I can't find a book, someone helps me. If they don't have a book, they request if from another area library. I love this library and am so thankful it's in Flushing.

Always helpful, and taught me to use MEL (Michigan e Library), a great resource for books not held by the GDL.nAnd a nice choice of Kindle books, as well.nStaff is invariably friendly.
