Transportation Department

If there was a choice for 0 stars I would have chosen that!! They left my 8yr old son at the bus stop alone after he told her he didn't know where he was going. We were new to the area (just moved to Bay City) and he had no idea how to get home. I arrived at the stop more than 10 minutes before the time I was told the bus would be there. My son was almost to Henry St going the wrong way completely! He told the bus driver he didn't know where he was going. She told him the address to our home. He said, but this is the wrong address (They were on a different street). The bus driver told him that's because he needed his street and said it's probably back that way (motioning toward Henry St. which was the opposite direction of our street). Then she left him there alone. No other kids get off there. She dropped him off there at 3:10. I arrived at 3:12 because I was told the bus would be there at 3:25. He was almost to Henry St. when I found him. Then when I called transportation and the Superintendent's office it was put on me. They kept saying the bus can come 10 minutes early or 10 minutes late. Apparently, she comes there between 3:10/3:15. I told them they better never leave my son alone like that again. They said the bus driver can't wait so she would have to take him back to school. I'd rather have him safe at the school then wandering around Bay City alone!!! So, today his second day riding home, I was there at 3:00 so I could speak to the driver and tell her to take him back to the school if that ever happens again for some reason. She flew past my vehicle. Didn't use the proper stopping procedures to drop him off then sped away before he was on the sidewalk so she could avoid speaking to me!!! I tried to call the Director of Transportation about what happened today, but he didn't answer and he has a voicemail that isn't set up!!! Needless to say, my son will no longer be riding the bus with this kind of negligence!! If I have to drive all the way to the bus stop I will just go to the school!! The bus stop is pretty far from where we live so my 8yr old should never have been left there alone!!

I ride bus 20 and I tell you the sub that we have is the worst sub I've ever had my whole life we needed our on the highway going the wrong way we need out normal bus driver back to get to school at a somewhat decent time
