Had two very different experiences here. During the first visit the staff member was not friendly at all and acted like we were inconveniencing her by asking for assistance. I was trying to buy a cooler and the staff member acted like it was my fault that it wouldn’t fit through the plexiglass partition. The staff member then complained about us being in the store to someone that called . My second experience was great. The staff was very friendly and super helpful and even gave us a great recommendation for lunch.
Love this local grocer. It's in the center of Castine and has a little of everything. The best part about the store is the people. They are friendly, helpful and make you feel welcome. T & C brings you back to how to grocery stores should be. Thanks T & C
Our son is a student at Maine Maritime Academy and what a great place T&C is for the students! Our whole family has come to love it there and the wonderful staff goes above and beyond! Thanks T&C!!
Don't order the pizza. Crust won't even be cooked all the way. Also, whisky is very overpriced. Staff can be nice though.nn*Edit*nGood response from the owner, and my mistake being unaware of Maine's Liquor Control Commission. Oregon does that, too, which I've always thought stifles economic growth somewhat. Bumped my rating.
